With the clocks going back tomorrow (in the UK) it’s hard to deny that winter is coming. But today certainly didn’t feel very autumnal, much to my confusion. It was balmy and we had a lovely walk in Dunwich forest with the dogs and the in-laws.
But as the evenings draw in, I’m thinking about cosy-ness and layers. And of course getting the garden ready to over-winter!
I have loved this Knitty blanket pattern since the day I saw it (it’s from a 2012 Knitty issue!) but never gotten around to even consider making it. I have so many other projects in my queue, I have to admit I doubt I’ll ever get around to it. But it’s so pretty, and I bet it’s cosy!
I love love love Wudwerx over on Folksy. As the weather starts to get colder, I’m thinking about all the poor critters in my garden that need somewhere cosy to stay (including the poor robin that thought our house was nice and warm then got cornered by the puppies in the spare room. Don’t worry – Ben let it out the window, and it wasn’t harmed!)
Coveting this yummy tweedy number from Joules. Shame it’s a leeeeetle out of my price range (at over £200!) but a girl can dream, right?
And finally – snuggly!! These knits from akelila on Etsy really remind me of some lovely handknit woolen slipper socks my mum gave me (which her mum made). Sadly, they have long since been eaten by friggin’ moths. Gutted. I need some new snuggly slipper socks in my life.
See you next Saturday, my lovelies! And remember – stay warm! xx
